Cracker Cove Offers Old Florida Charm on the Gulf

If Old Florida charm is what you’re searching for, you’ll find it at Cracker Cove in Bonita Springs. Homes in this small Bonita Bay enclave are unique in that they come with true “Old Florida” style points. 

Typically built with tin roofs and ornate moldings, the homes of Cracker Cove also have wood or wood-like siding. In addition, they are oftentimes painted in colorful, Key West hues, and sit surrounded by lush landscaping and towering oak trees.

Typically ranging in size from around 1,500 square feet to 2,800 square feet, homes in this community generally come in a two-story design with a sun porch and a master suite. Many of the homes enjoy pond or preserve views.

Built between the late 1980s to mid 1990s, there are less than 40 homes to choose from in Cracker Cove. While the neighborhood is officially complete, you may sometimes find homes in the community that come on the market for sale.

A 1,500 square foot home in Cracker Cove also has a large garage and some storage space on the lower level, as well as an elevator that leads to the upstairs living space. A nearby walking trail allows homeowners in Cracker Cove to access the miles of trails throughout the rest of Bonita Bay.

There is also a swimming pool and there’s a community gathering building in the neighborhood. In addition, homeowners in Cracker Cove also have the advantage of nearby access to Bonita Bay amenities. 

Membership opportunities are possible at Bonita Bay Club with tennis, championship golf, and fitness. There’s also a private marina with direct Gulf access, plus there’s a private beach with shuttles.
